Good from
the third putt.

Golfers have been finding generosity in the third putt for years. These two independent programs show what that can look like, from a weekly club jar to a shared fundraising effort.

These are independently run programs. The stories and results below belong to those organizations.

The cause

How it worked
Member clubs contributed through the association’s Three Putt for the Cure program in 2011 and 2012. The published account does not describe individual clubs’ collection arrangements.
What was reported
The published account reports approximately $16,400 over those two years. It does not give a cost or participation breakdown.
What we learn
The three-putt gave clubs a common reason to contribute to breast cancer research. The reported total shows what those clubs raised together; it is not a forecast for ThreeJack.

“Three Putt for the Cure raised roughly $16,400 over a two-year period.”

Gary Baines, Colorado Golf, November 21, 2013.
